Asceline

Asceline​ was born in the Raigerlands, one of the numerous disparate petty kingdoms of the Outlands, in 660 BA. By age six she had touched the sidereal magic, as her mother and father had done before her, and by age thirteen she was a warmancer for the King of the Raigerlands. When Desmer began his rise to power in the Outlands, Asceline stood in defiance to him. She was the only magic user in the Outlands to survive his conquest. She knelt before him, forsook her power to serve beside him, and now has pride of place as a shieldmaiden at his side.
