Meriel

Meriel has always lived in the Village. She was born in 668 BA, and her mother died later that same year. Since then she's been raised by her father. In childhood Meriel was a quiet girl, most content in the company of friends such as Helicent Loghire or Ancie Bayren. She's always idly dreamed of leaving the Village - perhaps becoming a princess or a great warrior, or even a Magus - but that's a daydream that can't possibly come to pass. Meriel spends her days doing an assortment of household chores for her father, who works the fields from dawn til dusk; when opportunity allows, she seeks the company of her friends, or of Telis Heddorel, the strange woman who lives at the farthest edge of the Village and who Meriel's father has forbidden her from seeing.
